Recently our Payment Processor Square emailed us to let us know that they will be closing our account in November if we continue to sell CBD products. This is a suprise to us because we have been on Square’s CBD Pilot program for years without any problems.

Because of legislation that passed restricting THC levels from 0.3% down to 0.4mg per container (effectively banning all full spectrum CBD products) Square has made the decision to ban anyone who sells any kind of CBD products whatsoever, even products that would still be considered legal under the new law. We sell both full spectrum CBD products and broad spectrum products, but Square is taking a sledgehammer to the whole pilot program, giving us only 2 months to come up with a solution.

What do we need from you?

PLEASE contact your legislator, you can do it right now! Tell them we need sensible regulations around CBD and Hemp. We need consumer access protected and we need small family businesses like mine to able to continue selling our products without interference.

Worst case scenario is we can no longer sell CBD products. Best case scenario is our legislators actually succeed in crafting a piece of legislation that works for everyone.
