Extremely cold and bitter, Boneset received its name because of its use for “breakbone fever” a type of fever where you feel like your bones are breaking! It is often confused with Comfrey aka Knitbone which is named Knitbone because it helps to repair broken bones and injuries. However, these plants are not the same. Because it is strongly antimicrobial, Boneset is one of the Lyme herbs and it should be considered for any Lyme Protocol.
