Also known as Bacopa, Brahmi is a powerful herb for cognitive function, promoting mental clarity, memory, focus and calm. Energetically it is considered cold, bitter, and astringent. K.P. Khalsa suggests it is useful for neuralgia, epilepsy, mental illness, indigestion, ulcers, gas, constipation, asthma, bronchitis, infertility, rheumatic conditions, as a tonic for impotence and premature ejaculation, and more. Studies suggest it can be helpful with ADD, ADHD type of behavioral disorders.
