Organic Gentian Root is considered to be a “pure bitter” and is the classic bitter herb used in Angostura Bitters and other classic cocktail recipes. It is classified as a digestive bitter, hepatic, cholagogue, choleretic, emmenagogue, a mild sialogogue, febrifuge, anthelmintic, antimicrobial, and hypoglycemic. Specifically it is used for people with sluggish liver, lack of appetite, poor digestion, cramping, gas and bloating, nausea, vomiting, heartburn, and even allergies. Do not use if you are a pregnant or breastfeeding woman.
