Partridgeberry is a creeping, evergreen plant Native to eastern North America that can be found growing in woodland habitats and along streambanks. Many indigenous people of North America used partridgeberry as an emmenagogue, astringent, diuretic, parturient and styptic. It has also traditionally been used for urinary tract disorders including easing infections, interstitial cystitis, and BPH as a diuretic and astringent. It may also be used as an astringent for gastro-intestinal disorders, including diarrhea, and irritable bowel syndrome.
