Shepherd’s Purse is pungent and sweet with a neutral energy. It has affinities for the uterus, stomach, blood and liver. It is know to have diuretic, antihemorrhagic, hemostatic, and urinary antiseptic properties. It has traditionally been used for chronic menorrhagia, with frequent and prolonged menstruation as well as for urinary inflammations such as cystitis.
