Our Sweet Annie is organically grown by Foster Farm Botanicals in East Calais, Vermont and it is the highest quality around. Some of Sweet Annie’s actions are antibacterial, antiparasitic, antimarial, antiseptic, bitter and carminative. Sweet Annie contains artemisinin, which recent studies suggest exhibit antibacterial activity against certain tick-borne pathogens, including the causative agent of Lyme disease, Borrelia burgdorferi, as well as Babesia spp. It’s anti-inflammatory and immunomodulatory effects could also aid in reducing inflammation and supporting the immune system in response to vector-borne infections. It has also traditionally been used to support indigestion and infections of the digestive system.
