Baikal Skullcap Root, Organic,1 oz bag of cut and sifted root

Baikal skullcap (Scutellaria baicalensis) is native to North China, Russia, Mongolia, Japan and Siberia and is sometimes referred to as Chinese Skullcap, being a well known Traditional Chinese herb used as a strengthening immune and nerve tonic. The root is anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, antiviral, antioxidant, and a nervine. (Not to be confused with the North American skullcap, Scutellaria laterifolia, in which the leaf and aerial parts are used).

Sold in 1oz. quantities. If you want multiple ounces, just add multiple quantities.

Safety Information: American Skullcap (Scutellaria lateriflora) has a long history of traditional use and is generally well tolerated when consumed as directed. Rare reports of liver injury associated with products sold as “skullcap” have largely been attributed to adulteration or misidentification with germander (Teucrium species), a different plant known to contain potentially hepatotoxic compounds. This product contains only authenticated Scutellaria lateriflora.
